  • Kapil Grover Expects 30% growth on Indian Wine industry.

    Recent interview with Mr. Kapil Grover, the owner of largest Vineyards in India, Grover Vineyards Bangalore Mr. Kapil expecting 30% growth in domestic winery industry.  Kapil is very excited and planning to meet the demand. Grover is now producing 100,000 bottles of wine and it is under the process of double up the production with in 2 years. Grover Vineyards is currently exporting 30% of the production to France, USA and other countries. Mr. Kapil also believes super market like Reliance will help the winery industry to reach the broader consumer market and ease/regulate the liquor laws.

    Short History of Grover Vineyards: Grover family is in the business of importing space industry equipments for the past 60 years. They mainly imports from France and other European countries.  Mr. Kanwel Grover (Father of Kapil) has been introduced to Mr. George Vesselle, wine maker, Grape expert in France and every one called him “Pope of Wine”  With help of French connection, Grover family  has chosen  Bangalore region for the vineyards. After long research Grover Vineyards launched the wines in 1992.  Grover Vineyards had a boost in quality after bringing Mr. Michael Rolland, undisputed consultant from France.

    Grover Vineyards is now also owned by Veuve Clicquot from France and Jerry Rao, Financial Investor.
