Mumbai, April 5, 2008: The evening with Chateau D’Ori wines at Henry Tham restaurant in Mumbai was not only graceful but also enlightening, with the presence of French artist Cristina Alba and renowned oenologist A. Fakorellis.
Mr. Ranjit Dhuru, Chairman and MD of D’Ori Winery Pvt. Ltd. invited the two famous personalities from the wine world to share their views on ‘Art of wine making and wine drinking’. Fakorellis also shared his thoughts on how Indian wines are perceived globally and the growing standards and popularity of the new age Indian wines. Ranjit Dhuru felicitated Mademoiselle Alba, also the designer of Chateau D‘Ori logo and the five vibrant labels with the popular white wine, Viva.
Alba has designed the eloquent logo for the renowned Indian wine brand Chateau D’Ori. The logo depicts novelty, elegance and epoch in its formation, with two graceful horses and the initials of the brand engulfed into a classic creation, which exemplifies the New Age wine brand of today.
Monsieur Athanase Fakorellis an award winning wine maker from Bordeaux has been involved with Chateau D'Ori right from inception in 2000. His name features on the back label of the entire range of Chateau D'ori wines he has blended.
“People desire to graduate to a better lifestyle and wine is a symbol of ‘good life’. Both the Indian wine market and the indigenous wine industry are in their nascent stages, but growing at a phenomenal speed. There is a huge requirement to bring in awareness about wine varietals and wine making. Chateau D’Ori wants to ensure that the wine culture in India is taken to the international levels with such interactive sessions”, says Ranjit Dhuru, Chairman and MD Chateau D’Ori.
