Dear Sir/ Madam,

   I am seeking information regarding the support policies for the Indian wine industry for my

master´s theses. My research will investigate the likely effects of reduced tariff and

subsidy support to the Indian wine industry on future investment decisions taken by

wine processors in state. At this stage I am trying to identify what tariffs and

subsidies are likely to be reduced in order to comply with WTO requirements and the

extent of these reductions. Your assistance in providing or locating relevant

information would be greatly appreciated. Specifically, I need to identify:

a) The import duty structure on wine in India.

b) The extent to which this duty has already been reduced? And the extent to

which it still need to be reduced in order to comply with WTO requirements?
